Is It True If You Switch Birth Control Pill-Pill That You Are Still Protected?

I heard that you can get pregnant within the 7 day rule but i also heard that you can't because switching pills shouldn't decrease the pills efficiency. I am just wondering because i had 5 days after switching pills with a condom with spermicide on it but then he took it off and a little bit later he put another one on then took it off Again with the spermicide on it but he pulled out when he d. i know it was really stupid to take it off.
