If your heart says no, then I would be careful. It's better to go by what your heart says instead of your mind. If you have to, pray about it because with God all things are possible. Your parents have to realize that it's not their decision to pick who you should marry. I'm sure they wouldn't have liked it back then if someone told them before they started dating that they are meant for each other.
