Should i just give up on this?

im running for vice president for 8th grade and my competitor is saying that i was talking sh!t about her being in power math (the math for people who arent that smart) when i wasnt. my friends think she's stupid and that she shouldnt be running, and the whole reason i ran was because my friends wanted me to. should i just drop out or should i stay in? people already hate me, even the guy i like. what should i do?
