when you are pregnant, and apply for health insurance they reject you BECAUSE you are pregnant. Of course, I learned this the hard way. This year when I applied I was smart and lied I was NOT pregnant. And lied about the date of my last period on the application, which they ALSO ASK. I honestly think it is ridiculous how stupid the laws are in California for health insurance. You are pregnant, need health insurance probably only when you are pregnant, and they have a law, if you apply and admit you are pregnant, that is a "pre existing" condition meaning " a condition they want to eat more money out of you for" so they reject your health insurance. Yes, I agree, with my head held high because i am right, that these laws are absolutely ridiculous in this backward country for health insurance. you go nuts if you get sick here. Firstly, health insurance is also very expensive. You know what, in Switzerland, they pay for your time off when you are a pregnant woman and pamper you absolutely. Here you have to struggle, but you know what, I am a fighter, and I will get through this too, and much more
